Still at work, making sure everything's good to go for the rest of the week (impending lotcheck deadlines of doom for the Wii games, lots of UI art/art changes to be made) and finishing up AX stuff. Why not a little art poot!

I don't think I've linked my twitter account. I have one! Have had one. Dafna made me get one before my grandmother knew what it was (MY GRANDMOTHER), but I don't think that gives me anything like indie cred. At all. Also I didn't use it. But now I do!

Lately it has been work all day, stay at work until late at night, go home and sleep, rinse, repeat. This probably means I am going to crack sometime soon and draw something unforgivable! In the meantime, here is the corner of the whiteboard in my cubicle:



Sarah drew the burning city, which is definitely the best part. Not pictured is Chris' chocolate chip cookie and Enterprise (renamed "U.S.S. Badass").

The sketch had been staring at me from my desktop for two weeks, so I went and added color and rainbows and uhhh. It felt pretty therapeutic!

I think fanart might've replaced my childhood urge to put Lisa Frank stickers everywhere (everywhere).

EDITED to add an embarrassing tangent: I LIKED KEENSER AND I LIKED SCOTTY. Yeah, the dynamic was a little THROW SOME OBVIOUS HUMOR IN THAR but I like ugly-cute and I like Simon Pegg. I want to see the adventures of Scotty and Keenser on the Enterprise. They'd probably try to beam each other to increasingly retarded places until one of them ends up with an ass for a face and Bones has to deal with it.

Syd was really sick the last day I was in Portland, so I took the opportunity to get out of her hair and walk around as much of the area I could (which was a lot, since it was such a nice day and Portland is great city to walk around). I bought a mini Moleskine notepad 2-pack at the small Powell's, drank way too much coffee and ate loads of sweets, and doodled.

I made a stamp! Well, a few, but this is the first one that's turned out halfway decent. I bought some stamp carving tools a few months ago but I forgot about them pretty quickly. jen_kat's recent post inspired me to find them and play!



The stamp is about the size of my thumbnail because I am a glutton for punishment. :B I don't have any ink pads, so I applied some ink directly to the stamp.

This week has been a little sucky. On the plus side, I've been channeling some of my frustration into some really weird sketches. This time I even managed to avoid drawing on my work file!

I tried out Tumblr and a few other blog-type-things, but LJ still wins for ease of use and easy access to all of you. I think I might keep my Tumblr as a means of collecting interesting images from the internet, but I will post all the art that I will ever post online here. I guess you can consider this fair warning: feel free to de-friend and run!

My New Year's Resolutions are to be more like Adam Savage and to finish those New Year cards I should have sent out weeks ago.
